Professor Magiko (the “App”) is a free entertainment app by FILYNX (EU) that provides absurd fortune-telling predictions through an interactive shake-to-predict experience.
We aim to collect as little data as possible. No account is required.
1) Who we are

2) What we collect (and what we don’t)
We do NOT ask for or require:
- Your name, email, phone number, address
- A user account or profile
- Contacts, photos, microphone recordings, or precise location
- Your questions or predictions (everything stays on your device)
However, the App uses third-party SDKs for advertising and analytics, which may process limited device and usage data (see Section 4).
3) Data processed automatically
Depending on device settings and local laws, the App and its third-party partners may process:
- App activity (e.g., screen views, shake events, session duration, general feature usage)
- Device information (e.g., device model, OS version, language/region, device sensors for shake detection)
- Identifiers (e.g., app-instance identifiers; advertising identifiers where available)
- Approximate location (typically inferred from IP address for ad delivery and fraud prevention)
Important: We do not try to identify you as a person. But some identifiers can still be considered “personal data” under privacy laws because they relate to a device.
Your questions and predictions: The fortunes you receive are randomly selected from a pre-loaded list. We do not transmit, store, or analyze your questions or the predictions you receive. Everything stays on your device.
4) Third-party services we use
A) Advertising (AdMob / Google Mobile Ads SDK)
We show ads to keep the App free.
We intend to serve NON-PERSONALIZED ads (contextual ads).
Even non-personalized ads may still use cookies/mobile identifiers for frequency capping, aggregated reporting, and fraud/abuse prevention; in some regions (e.g., EEA/UK/Switzerland) consent may still be required.
B) Analytics (Google Analytics for Firebase)
We use Firebase Analytics to understand how the App is used (in aggregate) and improve stability and user experience.
By default, Firebase SDKs may collect installation/app-instance identifiers and may collect advertising identifiers where available.
Firebase also documents retention behaviors for certain identifiers (e.g., installation IDs).

5) Device permissions
The App requests the following permissions:
- Vibration: To provide haptic feedback when the device is shaken
- Accelerometer/Motion sensors: To detect shake gestures for fortune-telling
These permissions are used solely for app functionality. We do not collect or transmit sensor data.
6) Tracking (Apple ATT)
We do not intend to “track” you across other companies’ apps and websites for targeted advertising.
On iOS, apps must request permission before tracking (AppTrackingTransparency).
We do not show Apple’s tracking permission prompt unless we add tracking in the future.
7) Legal bases (EEA/UK)
Where GDPR/UK GDPR applies, we rely on:
- Consent: when legally required for advertising identifiers/cookies and related ad processing
- Legitimate interests: basic app analytics, security, fraud prevention, and service improvement (where permitted)
8) Data retention
- FILYNX does not maintain a user database for Professor Magiko.
- Analytics/ads data may be retained by Google according to their platform retention controls and policies. Google Analytics for Firebase supports retention controls for user-level data.
- If you email support, we keep that correspondence as long as needed to handle your request and basic recordkeeping (typically up to 12 months).
9) Your choices and controls
- iOS: You can control tracking permission in system settings; iOS requires permission for tracking as defined by Apple.
- Android: You can reset/limit advertising identifiers (varies by Android version/device).
- Where required (EEA/UK etc.), we may show a consent message and provide a privacy options entry point, commonly implemented via Google’s User Messaging Platform (UMP).
- Google Analytics controls allow disabling certain advertising features and resetting analytics data on-device.
10) Children
The App is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
The App contains absurd, nonsensical content intended for entertainment. It is not suitable for children who may not understand the satirical nature of the predictions.
11) International transfers
Our third-party providers may process data on servers outside your country (including the U.S.). Where required, appropriate safeguards are used.
12) Security
We use reasonable safeguards, but no system is perfectly secure.
13) Disclaimer
Professor Magiko’s predictions are for entertainment purposes only. All fortunes are randomly generated and absurdly fictional. Do not make life decisions based on these predictions. Professor Magiko and FILYNX are not liable for any consequences arising from use of the App.
By using this App, you acknowledge that predictions are purely for amusement and have no factual basis.
14) Changes
We may update this Policy. The “Last updated” date will change.
