Welcome to ENIGMATA (the “App”), a premium cultural social deduction game by Filynx (EU).

By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the App.

ENIGMATA is a freemium social deduction game that combines strategic gameplay with historically accurate educational content from different civilizations.

Ad removal: One-time purchase (price TBD) to remove all advertisements permanently
Additional cultural themes: Available via in-app purchase ($4.99 each)
Offline gameplay: Historically researched roles, abilities, and cultural context
Educational content: Museum-quality cultural standards

Free Version: Full Athens gameplay with advertisements displayed in menu screens and between games
Ad-Free Version: One-time purchase removes all ads permanently across the entire app

While we strive for historical accuracy and work with cultural experts, ENIGMATA is primarily an entertainment product
Historical content is simplified and adapted for gameplay purposes
The App is NOT a substitute for formal historical education or academic resources
Players should verify historical information through primary academic sources for scholarly purposes

Free Download:

Download and play Athens theme completely FREE
Free version includes advertisements in menu screens and between games
No subscription required, play as much as you want

Ad Removal Purchase:

One-time payment (price TBD) removes all advertisements permanently
No subscriptions, no recurring charges
Ad-free experience applies to all current and future content
Purchase is tied to your Google Play account

DLC Expansions:

Additional cultural civilizations available as in-app purchases ($4.99 each)
All DLC content is unlocked permanently after purchase
DLC purchases are tied to your Google Play account
DLC assets are included in the base app and activated upon purchase
Ads are already removed if you purchased ad removal (DLC doesn’t remove ads separately)

Purchase Policy:

All purchases are final and non-refundable except as required by law
EU consumers retain statutory rights under EU consumer protection law, including the right to withdraw within 14 days for digital content not yet accessed
Contact us before purchase if you have questions about content
If you experience technical issues with purchased content, contact support@filynx.eu for assistance

4. License to Use

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for personal, non-commercial entertainment and educational purposes.

You May NOT:

Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code
Copy, modify, or create derivative works
Distribute, sell, rent, or sublicense the App
Remove or alter any copyright, trademark, or proprietary notices
Use the App for any commercial purpose without written permission
Extract or redistribute cultural content, game assets, or educational materials
Circumvent or attempt to bypass in-app purchase verification systems

5. Your Responsibilities

You agree to:

Use the App only for lawful entertainment and educational purposes
Not attempt to harm, interfere with, or abuse the App or its services
Not use automated systems (bots, scrapers) to access the App
Not share purchased content with non-purchasers or attempt to bypass payment systems
Respect that this is a cultural education product and use content respectfully
Not use the App in ways that misrepresent or disrespect the cultures portrayed
Not modify game files or attempt to unlock DLC content without purchase

6. Intellectual Property

Ownership:

All content, including but not limited to game mechanics, cultural research, historical content, character designs, artwork, audio, animations, role descriptions, ability systems, game balance algorithms, and code are owned by Filynx or licensed to us.

Cultural Content:

Historical research, cultural themes, and educational materials are protected by copyright
Role systems, ability mechanics, and game balance are proprietary designs
ENIGMATA brand, logo, and visual identity are protected trademarks

Your Rights:

You may take screenshots for personal sharing and social media
You may stream or create content about gameplay for non-commercial purposes
You may discuss strategy, roles, and gameplay mechanics publicly
You may NOT redistribute game assets, extracted content, or create commercial derivative works
You may NOT publish or distribute the game’s cultural content databases

7. Cultural Respect & Content Standards

Our Commitment:

We consult cultural experts and historians for content accuracy
We strive for respectful representation of all cultures featured
We aim for educational value alongside entertainment
We welcome feedback from cultural communities and academic experts

User Responsibility:

Use cultural content respectfully during gameplay and discussions
Understand that game simplifications don’t represent complete cultural history
Recognize that strategic gameplay elements are separate from historical accuracy

Content Updates:

We may update cultural content based on expert feedback or community input
Historical accuracy improvements may be implemented via app updates
We reserve the right to modify or remove content that receives credible cultural sensitivity concerns

8. Disclaimers

EDUCATIONAL CONTENT:

Historical content is simplified for gameplay and entertainment
The App supplements but does not replace formal education
Cultural representations are respectful adaptations, not comprehensive histories
Game mechanics may prioritize balance over historical detail

ENTERTAINMENT PRODUCT:

ENIGMATA is primarily a game; educational value is supplementary
Gameplay mechanics take precedence over exhaustive historical accuracy
We aim for cultural authenticity but prioritize fun, balanced gameplay

NO WARRANTIES:

The App is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind—express, implied, statutory, or otherwise. We don’t guarantee that:

The App will always be available or error-free
Content will match your specific educational curriculum requirements
The App will run on all devices or Android versions
Future updates will maintain backward compatibility with saved games
Online features (if added) will be continuously available

USE AT YOUR OWN RISK:

You use ENIGMATA entirely at your own risk.

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW:

Filynx and ENIGMATA are NOT liable for any damages arising from your use of the App, including but not limited to:

Direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages
Lost game progress, corrupted save data, or technical malfunctions
Educational misunderstandings or historical inaccuracies
Device compatibility issues or performance problems
Decisions made based on game content
Inability to access purchased content due to device changes
Any other harm or loss of any kind

Some jurisdictions don’t allow full limitation of liability for consumer products. In those cases, our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law and shall not exceed the amount you paid for the App and any DLC purchases.

10. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Filynx from any claims, damages, costs, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from:

Your use or misuse of the App
Your violation of these Terms
Your violation of any rights of others
Your violation of applicable laws or regulations
Content you create about the App that violates third-party rights
Your attempts to circumvent purchase verification or security measures

11. Privacy & Data

The App operates primarily offline but uses Firebase Analytics to help us improve the game experience.

What We Collect (via Firebase Analytics):

Anonymous usage data: App opens, session duration, screen views
Technical data: Device model, OS version, app version, crash reports
Gameplay metrics: Feature usage, game completion rates (no personal gameplay data)
Performance data: Load times, errors, stability metrics

Important: We do NOT collect:

User accounts or personal identification
Names, emails, or contact information
Location data or precise geolocation
Gameplay content (your specific choices, roles, or strategies)
Photos, contacts, or other personal device data

No Advertising or Data Selling:

No advertising networks or ad tracking
We NEVER sell your data to third parties
Analytics are used solely to improve the game
No behavioral targeting or cross-app tracking

Analytics are processed by Google Firebase, governed by:

Purchase Verification:

In-app purchase receipts are verified server-side through Google Play

12. Age Restrictions

Minimum Age: 13 years old

Parental Guidance Recommended:

Some historical content includes references to political systems, conflicts, and cultural practices
Content is educational but may require context for younger players
Social deduction gameplay involves deception and strategic misdirection
Parents should review cultural themes before allowing children to play

The App is designed for family-friendly educational entertainment, but parental discretion is advised for players under 16.

13. Updates & Changes

App Updates:

We may release updates to fix bugs, improve performance, or add content
Updates may include balance changes, new features, or cultural content refinements
Major updates will be communicated via Google Play Store update notes
Critical bug fixes may be deployed without advance notice

Terms Updates:

We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements
The “Last updated” date at the top will reflect the most recent changes
Continued use after changes means you accept updated Terms
If you don’t agree with changes, stop using the App

We will not make retroactive changes that materially reduce your rights without providing notice and opportunity to discontinue use.

14. Termination

By You:

You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it
Purchases remain tied to your Google Play account and may be reinstalled
Uninstalling does not entitle you to a refund

By Us:

We may suspend or terminate the App’s availability at any time, for any reason
We may disable access for violations of these Terms
We may discontinue support for older app versions or Android versions
In the event of App discontinuation, existing purchases will remain accessible as long as technically feasible

Sections 6, 7, 9, 10, and 15 survive termination.

15. Governing Law & Disputes

Jurisdiction:

These Terms are governed by the laws of the European Union and the country where Filynx is registered, without regard to conflict of law principles.

EU Consumer Rights:

If you’re a consumer in the EU, you retain all rights under EU consumer protection law and may bring claims in your country of residence.

Dispute Resolution:

Formal Disputes: Will be resolved in the courts of the jurisdiction where Filynx is registered

We are committed to resolving disputes fairly and will work with you to address concerns.

16. Severability & Entire Agreement

Severability:

If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, the rest remains in full force and effect.

Entire Agreement:

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Filynx regarding the App. They supersede any prior agreements or understandings.

No Waiver:

Our failure to enforce any provision does not constitute a waiver of that provision or any other provision of these Terms.

Your Control:

By using ENIGMATA, you acknowledge and agree that:

✓ DLC expansions are available for $4.99 each
✓ All purchases are final except as required by EU consumer law
✓ Historical content is simplified for gameplay purposes
✓ You will use cultural content respectfully and appropriately
✓ The App uses Firebase Analytics and Start.io ads (see Privacy Policy)
✓ You can opt out of personalized ads in Android settings
✓ We don’t sell your data to third parties
✓ You are at least 13 years old (or have parental permission)
✓ You’ve read, understood, and agreed to these Terms
✓ You understand this is entertainment, not formal education
