Welcome to LEXICODE (the “App”), a premium word search puzzle game by Filynx (EU).

By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the App.

  • Four difficulty levels: Easy, Medium, Hard, and Expert
  • Comprehensive statistics tracking and achievement system
  • Light and dark theme support with customizable backgrounds
  • Accessibility-first design with WCAG AAA compliance
  • Offline gameplay (no internet required after installation)

Future Expansions:

  • Additional languages planned for future updates (Spanish, French, German, Portuguese)
  • New features and improvements based on user feedback
  • Updates are included with your purchase at no additional cost

3. Pricing & Purchases

Base Game Purchase:

  • One-time payment for full access to all current and future content
  • No subscriptions, no ads, no in-app purchases, no recurring charges
  • Lifetime access to all features and updates

Purchase Policy:

  • All purchases are final and non-refundable except as required by law
  • EU consumers retain statutory rights under EU consumer protection law, including the right to withdraw within 14 days for digital content not yet accessed
  • Contact us before purchase if you have questions about the App
  • If you experience technical issues, contact support@filynx.eu for assistance

Refunds:

  • Refund requests must be made through Google Play Store or Apple App Store within their respective refund windows
  • We will honor legitimate refund requests for technical issues preventing app use
  • Contact support@filynx.eu before requesting a refund so we can attempt to resolve technical issues

4. License to Use

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for personal, non-commercial entertainment purposes.

You May NOT:

  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code
  • Copy, modify, or create derivative works
  • Distribute, sell, rent, or sublicense the App
  • Remove or alter any copyright, trademark, or proprietary notices
  • Use the App for any commercial purpose without written permission
  • Extract or redistribute word lists, puzzle algorithms, or game assets
  • Modify game files or attempt to manipulate statistics or achievements
  • Use automated systems (bots, scrapers) to interact with the App

5. Your Responsibilities

You agree to:

  • Use the App only for lawful entertainment purposes
  • Not attempt to harm, interfere with, or abuse the App or its services
  • Not use automated systems to solve puzzles or manipulate gameplay
  • Not share purchased content with non-purchasers or attempt to bypass payment systems
  • Not modify game files or cheat to manipulate statistics or achievements
  • Respect the intellectual property rights of Filynx

6. Intellectual Property

Ownership:
All content, including but not limited to game mechanics, word lists, puzzle generation algorithms, grid layouts, character designs, artwork, audio, animations, UI/UX design, scoring systems, difficulty algorithms, and code are owned by Filynx or licensed to us.

Game Content:

  • Word lists and vocabulary databases are protected by copyright
  • Puzzle generation algorithms and game mechanics are proprietary designs
  • LEXICODE brand, logo, and visual identity are protected trademarks
  • Theme designs, color schemes, and visual assets are proprietary

Your Rights:

  • You may take screenshots for personal sharing and social media
  • You may stream or create content about gameplay for non-commercial purposes
  • You may discuss strategy, gameplay mechanics, and puzzle-solving techniques publicly
  • You may NOT redistribute game assets, extracted word lists, or create commercial derivative works
  • You may NOT publish or distribute the game’s word databases or puzzle algorithms

7. Disclaimers

ENTERTAINMENT PRODUCT:
LEXICODE is designed for entertainment and mental exercise. While word puzzles can support vocabulary development, the App is not a substitute for formal language education.

NO WARRANTIES:
The App is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind—express, implied, statutory, or otherwise. We don’t guarantee that:

  • The App will always be available or error-free
  • The App will run on all devices or OS versions
  • Future updates will maintain backward compatibility with saved games
  • Statistics or achievements will never be lost due to technical issues
  • All words will be recognized by every dictionary or language authority

USE AT YOUR OWN RISK:
You use LEXICODE entirely at your own risk.

8. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW:

Filynx and LEXICODE are NOT liable for any damages arising from your use of the App, including but not limited to:

  • Direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages
  • Lost game progress, corrupted save data, or technical malfunctions
  • Device compatibility issues or performance problems
  • Lost statistics or achievements due to technical issues
  • Any other harm or loss of any kind

Some jurisdictions don’t allow full limitation of liability for consumer products. In those cases, our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law and shall not exceed the amount you paid for the App.

9. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Filynx from any claims, damages, costs, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from:

  • Your use or misuse of the App
  • Your violation of these Terms
  • Your violation of any rights of others
  • Your violation of applicable laws or regulations
  • Content you create about the App that violates third-party rights
  • Your attempts to circumvent security measures or cheat

10. Privacy & Data

The App operates entirely offline but uses Firebase Analytics to help us improve the game experience.

What We Collect (via Firebase Analytics):

  • Anonymous usage data: App opens, session duration, screen views
  • Technical data: Device model, OS version, app version, crash reports
  • Gameplay metrics: Feature usage, puzzle completion rates, difficulty level preferences
  • Performance data: Load times, errors, stability metrics

Important: We do NOT collect:

  • User accounts or personal identification
  • Names, emails, or contact information
  • Location data or precise geolocation
  • Specific gameplay content (your puzzle solutions or word selections)
  • Photos, contacts, or other personal device data

No Advertising or Data Selling:

  • No advertising networks or ad tracking
  • We NEVER sell your data to third parties
  • Analytics are used solely to improve the game
  • No behavioral targeting or cross-app tracking
  • Completely ad-free experience

Firebase Analytics:
Analytics are processed by Google Firebase, governed by:

Device Permissions:

  • Storage: For saving game progress, statistics, and settings locally on your device only
  • Network (optional): For analytics only; the game functions fully offline

Your Data Rights (GDPR):
As an EU-based company, we respect your GDPR rights:

  • Right to Access: Request what data we’ve collected
  • Right to Deletion: Request deletion of your analytics data
  • Right to Opt-Out: Disable analytics via device settings
  • Data Portability: Request your data in a portable format

11. Age Restrictions

Minimum Age: 4 years old

Parental Guidance:

  • LEXICODE is designed as family-friendly entertainment suitable for all ages
  • Young children may need assistance with more difficult puzzles
  • Parents should supervise device usage time as appropriate
  • The App contains no violence, inappropriate content, or social features

12. Updates & Changes

App Updates:

  • We may release updates to fix bugs, improve performance, or add content
  • Updates may include new languages, features, or quality improvements
  • All updates are included with your purchase at no additional cost
  • Major updates will be communicated via App Store update notes
  • Critical bug fixes may be deployed without advance notice

Terms Updates:

  • We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements
  • The “Last updated” date at the top will reflect the most recent changes
  • Continued use after changes means you accept updated Terms
  • If you don’t agree with changes, stop using the App

We will not make retroactive changes that materially reduce your rights without providing notice and opportunity to discontinue use.

13. Termination

By You:

  • You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it
  • Your purchase remains tied to your App Store account and may be reinstalled
  • Uninstalling does not entitle you to a refund

By Us:

  • We may suspend or terminate the App’s availability at any time, for any reason
  • We may disable access for violations of these Terms
  • We may discontinue support for older app versions or OS versions
  • In the event of App discontinuation, you may continue using your installed version

Sections 6, 8, 9, and 14 survive termination.

14. Governing Law & Disputes

Jurisdiction:
These Terms are governed by the laws of the European Union and the country where Filynx is registered, without regard to conflict of law principles.

EU Consumer Rights:
If you’re a consumer in the EU, you retain all rights under EU consumer protection law and may bring claims in your country of residence.

Dispute Resolution:

  1. First Step: Contact us to resolve issues informally: support@filynx.eu
  2. Formal Disputes: Will be resolved in the courts of the jurisdiction where Filynx is registered
  3. EU Online Dispute Resolution: EU consumers may use the EU ODR platform: https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr

We are committed to resolving disputes fairly and will work with you to address concerns.

15. Severability & Entire Agreement

Severability:
If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, the rest remains in full force and effect.

Entire Agreement:
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Filynx regarding the App. They supersede any prior agreements or understandings.

No Waiver:
Our failure to enforce any provision does not constitute a waiver of that provision or any other provision of these Terms.

16. Third-Party Services

The App uses the following third-party services:

Google Play Services / Apple App Store:

  • Distribution and payment processing
  • Governed by respective platform Terms of Service

Firebase Analytics (Google):

Your Control:

  • You can opt out of analytics in device settings
  • No impact on gameplay if analytics are disabled
  • The game functions fully offline

We are not responsible for third-party services, their policies, or any issues arising from their platforms.

By using LEXICODE, you acknowledge and agree that:

✓ The App uses Firebase Analytics to improve game quality (you can opt out)
✓ No data selling, no invasive tracking
✓ You are at least 4 years old (or have parental permission)
✓ You’ve read, understood, and agreed to these Terms
